Degage Serve Nights
Join us on the second Wednesday of every month from 4:45–6:15 PM as we serve alongside Degagé Ministries. We help prepare and serve a meal at the women’s shelter and support individuals as they move into permanent housing.

Mission Update
Good News Christian Fellowship
Woodhaven has a special connection with Jerry Hekhuis—he grew up at Woodhaven, found his call to ministry here, and now serves in Pasco County, Florida. Jerry oversees three key areas of ministry: Good News Christian Fellowship – a local congregation reaching people through worship, community connection, and a volunteer-run Christian bookstore. Somebody Cares Pasco – a network of churches partnering together to meet community needs, serve the vulnerable, and bring unity among believers. The Oasis Coffee Spot – a vibrant ministry hub that serves as a coffee shop, meeting space, worship center, and place of outreach in the community. Jerry and Judy continue to faithfully serve through these ministries, relying on God’s provision and the support of churches like Woodhaven. Walk for Water
Join 20 Liters on May 17 at Johnson Park for Walk for Water West Michigan. Together we will learn more about the challenge of dirty water, walk with our friends and families, and learn simple, effective, and long lasting ways to make dirty water clean. The event runs from 12:30-3:00 (meet at picnic areas around the first parking lot), and you can arrive at any time to walk and learn.
Block Party
Join us on Tuesday, June 16 as we partner with the Grand Rapids Dream Center to love and serve our community. We’ll be helping with setup, food, games, and whatever is needed throughout the night—there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to jump in. It’s a simple, fun way to make a real impact and be present with our neighbors. Come be part of it!
Local Partners
Byron Center Ministries serve sthose in need physically, emotionally and spiritually through the love & heart of Jesus Christ. They provide this through: personal care pantry, mental health counseling, community home repairs, and food assistance programs.
Dégagé Ministries provides Emergency, Empowerment, and Engagement services to people experiencing homelessness or poverty in Grand Rapids.
Hand2Hand delivers nutritious food to students over the weekends and on extended school breaks by mobilizing churches, schools, individuals, and businesses to join together, providing hope and opportunity to thrive.
We equip vulnerable people with water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions that are simple, effective, and long-lasting.
Grand Rapids Dream Center exists to serve and transform communities within our city. Our heart to serve and transform is demonstrated by “going” within the community and neighborhoods to build relationships where God has called us.
Global Partners
The Jamaica Deaf Village (JDV) is a place where Deaf can live, work, and grow. We support this through discipleship, jobs, training, and community. Through these efforts, we can change lives and give back from what God has blessed us with.
The vision for Josiah venture is for a movement of God among the youth of Central and Eastern Europe that finds its home in the local church and transforms society. Our mission and calling is to equip young leaders to fulfill Christ’s commission by reaching and making disciples
Paradise Bound Ministries began working in Guatemala in 1997, and we are privileged to serve alongside local Guatemalan people who are passionate about reaching Guatemala for Christ.
